I’m 18.
I love this year’s brithday, simply because it’s so simple and spending half of the day in the House of God, dinner with family and some relatives, and not forgetting my birthday started with the pack up of Subang Rally 2009.
“Thank you!” once again to those who have wished me in regardless via phone calls, sms-es, Facebook, Twitter or blog. Thanks for making my birthday a little more special this year! :)
Besides, I would like to thank some really important people in my life. My parents, Joshua, Pastor Andy, the leadership team of ACTS Teens and ACTS Church, Mr.Jacob and many more, thank you once again for guiding me, mentoring me, caring for me, and bring me up to who I am today.
Most of all, thank You Heavenly Father for creating me in your image. Thank you for breathing life, and finding me and bring me back to Your midst. Thank you God.

Rally was God-filled. There’s just so much to say, so much to praise God for, but I’ll just highlight some really important ones. Over 460 participants turned up for the morning conference and 1000 plus turn up for the night concert. Over 36 souls were saved, and perhaps many more that we do not have record of! The pastors did an amzing job conveying God’s message to the congregration and the atmosphere was just so filled with the spirit of the Lord.

Praising God,
Darren SOH.
Many of my peers would have blogged about this since the month of January, but hey, I’m blogging it now. =D
I’m doing the Cambridge GCE A-Levels in Sunway University College now. After the orientation that took place on Monday and Tuesday, my classes started this morning at 8.30am!
I have a crazy packed schedule, like seriously crazy. There are days where I don’t have lunch break at all, it’s just classes all the way from 8.30am-4.30pm. According to the lecturers, this is perfectly normal for those who are taking 4 AL Subjects, like myself. =) I’m taking Chemistry, Physics, Math and Further Math.
I had Further Math class today. Basically my lecturer just went through some basic stuff like Quadratic Equations and Functions. Then, we had Physics. My lecturer is very Personable, according to him. He’s the easy going guy, very friendly, and explains Physics much better than my previous teacher. (No offence but yeah). After that we had Chemistry, practical class. The lecturer for my Chemistry Practical is a pretty elderly lecturer, but he’s very detailed, patient and just chun to the moon man. Haha. We did a simple titration experiment today, just to determine the end point and, it was good! =)
Will blog more soon, gotta go to Giant and buy some stationaries and then off to fetch my sister from tuition, *dad’s voice at the background* Gotta go!
Getting used to IT,
Darren SOH.
** Btw, Subang Rally is just 3 days away, can you believe it!? Do your last minute invitations!!!! http://subangrally.blogspot.com/ **
I know I’ve not been updating lately, but stay tuned, as the next post will be
College, and my final days of work.
At the mean time, why not you join Twitter? I update it often, very often in fact. :)
Hungry,
Darren SOH.
It ain’t easy. It really isn’t. I’ve been thinking about it for 7 months now, and I’m still struggling with it. I just thought to myself today how could my peers just decide on a big sum of money in such a short period of time. Is it because they are very clear of what they are doing already, or they just “main tembak”.
I don’t want to take the wrong path, hence I decided to wait. It’s probably one of the hardest decision I have made in my life so far, and really I’m just waiting for an answer to drop down. My parents are getting desperate, my friends are pressuring me by just asking me “What are you doing now?” and “When are you going to start?”. Thanks guys for being caring but really, to me, personally, I’m being pressured.
It’s not like I don’t want to pick a card and let the game begin, more like there’s just so so much factors to take into consideration. I mean hello we’re talking about Rm10-20 thousand, I don’t want to flush it donw the drain just like that.
I want to cry out, to have an answer. Really. =( I was just listening to the song “God In This City” and I don’t know why everytime I listen to this song, it just stirs up my heart, and will make me emo in 5 seconds without fail. Really God, there are things that have yet to be done in my life, won’t you just show up and show off!
I’m Desperate for a Heavenly Answer,
Darren SOH.

It was really inspiring to hear from Dr.Robert Coleman, he just shared his heart out in the 11am service and 5pm service. Evangelism is what we need to practice as a life style this day. Truly, all the principles that he have shared just confirmed what ACTS believes in and practices as well! This man flew all the way from United States, just to share his heart in 2 sunday services and flew back right after the 5pm service end. Did I mention that he’s about 80 years old earlier? Take that!
Had a great debrief yesterday. In such a time as this, it’ll really take CRAZY and RADICAL people to reach out and win people for Jesus. Playing safe or along the border line doesn’t work anymore, all of us need to risk it, so that we can win big!
We have greater plan installed for Recess Revolution, Prayer Group and of course ACTS Teens! Subang Rally is coming up as well, let’s take this opportunity to JUST DO IT.
Quite hot argh,
Darren SOH.
I just got back my BM remarks results, the result didn’t change from my SPM slip, it’s still B3. Sigh
I’m frustrated over Cbox and immature thinking. You know who you are, sometimes I wish you could just GET IT (and grow up)! =/
I didn’t have enough sleep for the past few days, but I am really glad that I managed to accomplish a mission which I have 0% talent in it. Fingers crossed that the musicians of the Subang Rally 2009 will appreciate and fuly utilise the chords+lyrics book. (this is a happy one! =D)
I’m getting less efficient in my work place, even if my boss don’t feel it, I do. I use to be able to accomplish more in one day, but now I slacked. “The joy of the Lord is my strength” – been meditating this in my workplace this few days. I wish I could perform better!
I want to visit certain college ASAP but my schedule is not on my side. Let’s hope that I can do it by this Saturday.
I wish that I could just nail down my point into someone’s head and most imprtantly make it stay there. Can you just GET me?
Sometimes I think I made a smart move, but I ended up thinking the other way round. My thoughts kept moving back and forth, left and right, up and down, in and out, it just doesn’t stay at one point and remain stationary, God can you set the path?
I want to take lives and followups to a whole new level, but can I really do it? Small steps are better than remain stationary, I just need to live it out. I don’t want to take it as homework, but I want to take it as an initiative.
I miss my friends from high school and primary school, can someone just kick my butt and take the first step of saying “hi!” on MSN? I think I should kick myself.
I am not performing my 100% in what I believe I can, can I just PUSH myself harder? and stay consistent?
Bad things happens these day because it’s the Satan’s work, and it is because he knows that we are doing great things. We need to PUSH until something happens. It’s time for a REVOLution to happen, and it begins with ME.
It’s Time,
Darren SOH.
Facebook is one of those places where you and I can discover lots of things, from good things to bad things, macam-macam ada. Facebook also has this function where people get to post up their photos, videos and all. I came across some photos just a moment ago and I was wondering
WHAT has this world become into?
Nicely we see people just not ashamed of posting up photos of themselves that really is mencolok mata, and your eyes can just go blind. I mean 50 years back or even 30 years back, my grandfather(and many others) would take a stick and lecture you kao-kao and feeling so ashamed of these kind of pictures their kids are posting up on public. Those days, everyone was conservative, and that can be shown through their clothing. But nowadays, people just love to wear pieces of cloth to show their body. They no longer wear to protect themselves, keep them warm, but rather more of fashion.
I remember few years back I received an email from one of my relatives of the trend of the clothing as the years passed by. In the 50’s, undergarments actually covers the whole body except for the head. I still remember the picture in the email, where there is a line of clothes hanging on a string (Like you are drying your clothes after washing), and from the left is the olden days and the right is the latest. The trend is that the undergarments get smaller and smaller, and I remember the last one was tagged as “Future”, which is NOTHING. Yes, it gets smaller and smaller until it is no longer needed one day. And yes, I believe it is happening.
I remember Pastor Kenneth used the word “Tang Hun strap” instead of spaghetti strap. We were all laughing our heads off, but really I think next time no need to have strap already, cause they aren’t going to wear anything also. ><
I don’t understand why some *ahem* girls (no offence girls, I’m not being sexist here, and yes I am speaking GENERALLY, if you are one of those that does jaga your dressing, good for you! *applause*) would love to show off their pictures of themselves putting on clothes that reveals their body. Low cut, hot pants, V-shaped, spaghetti strap all these so nonsense. I mean we have girls that know their college is super duper cold, but you are still very surprised that they wear Tang Hun straps and hot pants to class, and you hear them whining whole day, “Aiyo, why so cold one the aircond? I can freeze till I die ad lerr…Waliao..” Funny right?
Moral of discussion, PLEASE stop posting pictures of yourself yang mencolok mata. Also, I have come across photos where they will purposely blurr out or put some other picture to “cover” the “revealing part”. I mean come on la, we all know what’s underneath, it really seems like you are trying to tell us through the photo “Yes, there is something underneath, but I’m so sorry I can’t show it here, I malu la.” If you are ashamed of it, why even bother to put up the whole picture?!?
As I write this, I remember Pastor Sandra shared with us regarding dress code for the ACTStream members, and really it’s just so true. She shared about not wearing tight jeans, or low-cut on stage, and also putting on a jacket and all. Sometimes we are thinking “Aiyo pastor, that’s common sense la” but nowadays I think it’s no longer common sense, yes it was 50 years back, but now, it’s a standard we have to keep up to.
Now, some of you might be “hurt” or hating me already cause so happen you do put up these kind of pictures. First of all, sorry that it had to be you. Secondly, can you and I change for the better, and make this world a better place? :) These are small things, really tiny-miny, and actually it doesn’t matter to most people out there, but this statement came into my mind that day while I was working,
Small actions usually are the ones that causes BIG changes.
Agreed? =) So, let’s stop dressing like Hollywood stars that you see on MTV! Woohoo! =D
I won’t be satisfied with living comfortable,
Darren SOH.
*Woah You made me!*
